A Warm Welcome to My Space to Be -
Counselling and Psychotherapy
My name’s Kate Beard (she/her), a BACP registered, integrative counsellor and psychotherapist, based in the seaside town of Exmouth, East Devon. I am fully qualified and fully inclusive.

Whatever brings you to seek support will be unique to you. Perhaps you have a sense that life just isn't as you would like it to be, and want to make changes? Maybe you are unsure of what, or how, exactly, you are feeling at the moment? Have you got anxious thoughts, or are you feeling stuck in unhelpful ways of thinking and behaving? Perhaps you are struggling within your relationships at home, at work, or socially? It may be that you are living with loss/bereavement, or supporting a loved one with their own mental/physical health? Or would you like help navigating the challenges that everyday life is bringing?

My best hopes are for you to feel safe and comfortable in the accepting and confidential space I can hold for you. I aim to listen closely and be curious about whatever you bring to session. You are the expert in you - and while there may be knowledge and understanding that I can bring to support you - any answers, ultimately, lie within you. How our work together looks, will very much depend on you, your preferred ways of working and what you would like the outcomes from therapy to be.

Neurodivergence, social anxiety, low self-esteem and relationship challenges are a professional and personal interest of mine. I have extensive experience supporting families with SEND and EHCPs.

I warmly invite you to contact me to arrange a free, no-obligation, 20 minute meeting or call, to see if you would like to make an initial, assessment appointment. Alternatively, find out more about me and the services I offer using the menu above.
